Application for Highland Wind Farm Submitted

The application for Highland Wind Farm has now been submitted to the Scottish Government’s Energy Consents Unit and has reference ECU Reference ECU00005082.

The project is:

✅ a joint venture between Ampyr Energy and ESB;
✅ a partnership of Highland estates - Alvie & Dalraddy, Dalmigavie and Dunachton;
✅ 133 MW from 19 turbines up to 230m to blade tip and 30MW BESS;
✅ 560 ha of peatland restoration;
✅ riparian habitat enhancements including woodland planting, montane scrub planting of juniper and dwarf birch;
✅ access and recreation enhancements including connectivity of local routes;
✅ £44.3m Gross Value Added and 480 years of employment in Highland during development and construction; and
✅ community benefit payments in the order of £665k per year, equivalent to £26.6m over its lifetime.
